Not sure you can upload a PDF to the forum - phpBB can allow this (and allow uploads of photos too) but it seems that the Forum Admins haven't enabled those functions ~ prob due to the size it would occupy on the server.

If your PDF's hosted somewhere online you can link to its URL.

Hi guys,

Not sure if you will remember me but I have the white M3 and did Anglesea same time as you. Last itme we spoke I was going to court for dangerous driving !. Unfortunatly I got banned for 12 months which is up in July (After I take my test again!). Is there any good events you are aware off end July/August?

We'll be at the Richard Burns Memorial Rally 14 and 15th August. Superb 2 day event in Norfolk on smooth fast tarmac. Long stages (some 15 miles!!) and worth the very long drive. Event improved beyond all recognition last year. One of the best of the year Be great to have a BMW get together as three of us did in 2008 (us, M3Compact and Sunbmw). Hope to see you!

Am I ever !!, Pendragon it is then (Proving I pass my test again!) are you guys going ?. My wife has been driving me everywhere (Which is great when going for a meal!) but think she is getting sick of it now

You want to try and get on the Batbados rally next year it is mega and not to bad money wise for what it is (Or at least it was 7 years ago!)

After looking at the size of the standard engine mount under the exhaust we decided to take no risks with regard to punching/cracking the aluminium block on some of the mega manx yumps. Looking at the motor it is obvious that the right hand side of the motor is top heavy, putting more load on the r.h.s. mount. We also know this because BMW moved the crank position to the left to even front corner weights.

We decided to chassis mount the motor for the ultimate fix, as we don’t mind over-engineering critical areas. After dummy building we made the decision to put the chassis brackets real low. This compromised our original r.h.s. engine bracket design but we didn’t want the bushes higher than the original rubber mounts being unsure of the temps under the manifold.

Features:
6 bolts into the block instead of 4
2 world cup bushes on the r.h.s. (should steady longitudinally too)
3mm Max. thickness steel.
Earth point retained.
Heat shield fixing points (to pinion shaft/rubber bushes)



Still a bit more work to do on them but they are something like……
Wont be divulging how long we spent on them

just an add on, brackets for power steering pot on the right hand chassis done and chassis mounts now have gussets bigger than rwsc wifes under garments!! not shown!
