more bars than leicester square !!

double skinned top mounts from underneath, also stitched from the top but blended out of sight . the lad thats done this is a star, did everything we asked for and more, there basically r.e.d reborn.. we were looking at a fiesta r2 shell he was doing as part of there m.sport work, hell of a lot of crap to be taken off before work starts !! also a t16 they were doing work on !!

best way to do strut tops i think looks a lot neater, i did this on my 106 shell (now for sale lol) really like the cage a very nice job indeed love the rear end were it picks up the diff and and turrets. what are you thinking for colour ?

that will make the arches stand out well ! use japan red like on the newer E90/87. how are you going about the rear arches ? are you going to tub the back end or just bond them on ?

rear arches will be cut away and modded to meet the new arch, similar to what hockleys do on there cars.

I dont think we'll acid dip, but we have planned on giving it a blast.
IMO these E36 rusties arent as good bodily as the E30.
Our Italian E30 doesnt have the grot problem, all the bolts underneath were like new too

once the rest of the shell is prepped i.e seat rails, rear arches etc it'll have a light sand blast before paint, that should keep the tin worm at bay, for a while!!

still do that with the tourer and the i.s, both left batters. converting back maybe easier than i think lee!!

due to front suspension being redesigned on the 320is as the old stuff has seen better days bodyshell prep is halted but this means we are concentrating on the m54 3.0 .. exhaust ports have been blended and throttle body adapter plate is complete minus "o" ring groove and inlet ports have been blended too..feeling like we've made progress on this and just need cams to crack on with the job

due to the front avo suspension inserts on the 320is going out of sync again! we decided that the only course of action was to completely remake the front legs and go with bilstein (who are draggin there heals! )which is going o.k but holding up getting the compact indoors, but due to the kind (volcanic) weather we are getting the compact has been dropped off at mine and progress is back on!! dummy building atmo with the m54 engine ,box,diff and prop fitted so that the new mounts can finish being fabbed up and evening work can be stepped up ( a bit!)

Just a quickie chaps, who did your cage? And would you be so kind as to PM me the cost?

I have had a quote from someone who is quite loocal to me, and it seems reasonable to make my cage for the Rover, but in kit form so I can fit it myself.

They are going to replicate the Group A cage (from the homologation form) but in MSA legal thickness tubing.

Reckons about £600 ish as it isn't so complex as such as yours.
