Hello been a member for a while but never got round to putting anything on.

So here is my latest project.

i bought this the other day from fleabay.


then i bought this


then tried this


now i have a couple off questions that you might be able to help with

what is the lowesest e30 cwp ratio?
can i get a 5.1 and who uprates the lsd?

It's good to see another build thread started - great choice of model too.

4.45 is the best standard diff as far as I'm aware.

You can get a 5.1- HSR found one and Avto too iirc.

Can't help with info for who builds/uprates the diffs but I'm sure someone will be along soon with the info. It'll be in the forum topics somewhere

that engine looks well at home there. low cwp's are motorsport parts and go down beyond 5.1 mainly used abroad, look to pay £500 min for a set. what part of the world are you?

i'm in south wales. we paid a only a bit less for the chevette one.

does anyone import them?

i got it from ebay it was listed a few times and did'nt sell so i offered him £1000 and got it.

that is one thing that i need to learn about. are there any benifits to keeping the small case?

Yes, you can can say that you blew the diff on your first outing

Picked up my e30 rear end so that should be on soon

Time for an update.

finally got the engine, box, exhaust and steering finished.


finished the tunnel mod.



Then i pulled the lot out to start the repair work







I had to remove the bonnet catch panel to repair behind it. Is this panel availble anywhere?
