welcome , as for improvements, biggest thing with these engines seems to harnessing the power they have! so maybe more grip, i,e better tyres? ride height set up, car did look low at weeton, if that was you..

it was us
snapped the rad were the top pipe joins just a weak rad we think and shot engine mounts both have been sorted now
was taking it very easy in weeton first time there and and its reputation proceeds it.
Ride hieght seemed fine hit once underneath.

as for tyre were pretty happy with them after the other ones weve tried rally tyres go of to quickly so weve moved to track tyres a good compromise

Going up to chip wizard next friday for another remap see if we can get some more power out of it and have a play with a few settings

were to start our first year with old old girl has come to an end. and we are more convinsed than ever that we chose well.
Our objective was to run with the grp4 escorts for £10k weve done it and beaten all of them baring the millington powered ones.
our objective for next year is them bloody darriens but still on a budjet. so firstly a diet is needed. (we still have eleci windows)

on another note we come secound in the anglesey rally championship and iam leading the anwcc championship over 2ltr class codriver

going to sound a little bigheaded but i realy dont mean to

weve thought long and hard about it weve decided that we love nothing better than beating cars more expensive than ours.
at the moment we are best of the rest I:E pricde wise it takes £70k to beat us darrien and millington escorts.
we want to know how close we can get to them if at all
the problem is the money invested in each event at £179 a tyre x8 plus fuel for car van serviceing list gos on and on were past the point of purly out for fun when the green light comes on we want to win (as do we all sectly)

You guys and myself are on exactly the same wavelength! my objective wen i first built my car in 2006 was to beat more expensive cars in a car costing £10k or less and we proved we can do it too! keep up the good work and hope to meet u guys on an event soon! you mentioned 'chip wizard', would you recommend him and is it worth the money on a standard m3 engine? do you have any contact details? best regards

What ecu are you using on your M3 engine? Mine will be a DTA S80. I was also thinking about the 3.2 cylinder head, it's supposed to breath better etc? Whats the score with de-vanos, dont you loose out on bottom-midrange torque though? I can supply contact details for Wayne Schoffield at Chipwizards, a very reputable and skilled mapper, especially with DTA ecu's.

3.2 no problems

wayne is the right man for engine mapping, he did our 2 litre, never skipped a beat, he does loads of bmw's race and rally, i've seen g.t cars and loads of big hitter porkers there too.

does the 3.2 head go straight on then without affecting the compression
