Hi Guys...sorry for no recent updates. Car was on the rollers this week but the diff decided to let go at @8000rpm...
we were 2 hrs into the mapping, when it let go on throttle lift off. It was running a 4.27, which had recently been put (thrown !) together. I suspect that the diff did not have sufficient backlash built in & subsequently tightened up & spat the dummy.
Also noted an oil leak from r/main area....so diff & g/box now residing on garage floor.
On a positive note the engine was 'singing' & sounded awesome at high rpm....didn't manage any power runs as we were still doing the fuelling progressively through the throttle range.....When it let go it was on 45% throttle, showing 190 rwhp...so hopefully quite a bit more to come

The diff was rebuilt, new bearings, solid spacer & tighter lsd....all fine now..

Power is...267 hp...239 rwhp.....194lbs torque. Rev limiter set at 8,250

perfect power , any idea what cams?, i ask because we have an odd'ish choice of 308ex,292in although i'm happy with the recipe

Not sure...I will dig out some paperwork. This engine, I believe, did run something like 308/316 with 8 injector & slide throttles...showing @310hp...but has been brought down a little for my set up of 48mm throtle bodies & 4 injector setup. I think it is now 308/29?? (not sure) I was hoping to see something @ 275-280.. but cshouldn't complain I suppose

Long time with no real updates, but car now has PAS fitted...huge improvement....

But waiting on the shop floor is something the car desperatly needs.....



Installation will have to wait until after the Richard Burns rally Aug 14/15......
As it will need some mods to Bellhousing , G/Box mounting , Prop etc...
Also might need to change diff ratio...
Will keep you all updated on progress....
