Flat Out Motorsport F2000 Compact

Right i know this long over due as a report on Cliffs F2000 Compact but here goes, weve spent the last 2 days on her doing the following.

After removing the engine for a strip down to examine exactly what is in the engine and new Schrick Cams to be fitted to improve Torque the engine has gone back in and we got her running today with all braided new dry sump lines etc :-



And this is the bunch of Bannanas fitted back in



And the following pic's are of the Front Anti-Roll Bar that Cliffs fitted after much delibaration on which route to take with the suspension set up etc





And the Rear Anti-Roll Bar thats he's fitted







Just hope this goes some where to sorting out the issue's Cliff has had with the car etc

nice job, what diameters has he used? presume he's had to bend the blades because it was too short?

The Front is 25mm Dia and the Rear is 19mm Dia, the front blades are bent to clear the front wheels on full lock (same sort of shape as a std ARB), the rear blades are slightly bent to keep the main bar on the rear chassis legs and the drop links as far out towards the wheel as possible with the design of the rear wishbones etc

any improvement to the handling? was there any other engine work done other than a cam swap? sounded o.k last time i heard it at anglesey!

No other work to the engine apart from the cam swap bud, it was more a case of a strip to check exactly what was in her and the condition, as The Irish boy who cliff bought it off could'nt tell him what oil was in it let alone what the spec of the engine was PMSL.

As for handling im not sure Cliff would have to tell you that as i don't think he has been out with it since fitting them, not sure if he is gonna try and get out with it at Anglesey to try it again or sell it as see his post in the for sale section, as i know he has been talkin about a 2dr WRC Scooby he's seen ??????

wouldn't be a 99 car at lepleys by any chance? was there any fancy bits in the s14?

Yeah the whole engine would be ideally suited to German Touring Car Spec mate ie a Knife Edge Crank, and a head thats a work of art and such like, would'nt want the bill to build it originally !!!!! As a set of new cams and a general strip and inspection with new gaskets cost in the region of £3K

As for the 99 car at Lepleys it just well could be but Jason could'nt tell Cliff how many hours are on the Engine, Box and Diff's so its kinda puttin him off.

its steve chamberlains car and its low on its miles seen the car close up and it is mint. only reason he's moving it on is he wants paddle shift!!
