i got it to fit but i had to put the spacers all underneat the rack and the rack is at an angle too, im goin to get the manifold bent a bit so it would be able to sit better

I had the same problem but i sorted it by mowing the rack about 5mm to the right, it only affected the steering on full lock and it solved all fouling issues.....

o rite, did u drill new holes just 5mm to the right in the cross member brackets?? nd would it matter if the spacers are under neat the rack or would it be better to put them on top

i got that rack thing sorted a few months ago now,i ended cutting a piece out of the manifold and welding in a loop that goes around the column,is it only the 1.6 engines that have this prop when fitting a z3 rack?? i made sure the engine mounts were good too so it wasnt like the engine was sitting down one side or anything.also got a rebuilt 325 L.S.D fitted too and sumpguard.suspensions will be next thing now. i competed in the tynagh rallysprint 14th of march with the car,went nice really enjoyed it . was planning on doing autocross 3rd and 4th of april but had to be postponed due to weather. videos can be seen here and on my bebo page http://www.bebo.com/c/video?FlashBoxId=10457716330& .. http://www.bebo.com/c/video?FlashBoxId=10460225658&

just wondering where u got the roll cage and how much it was,
hoping to have a e30 318is track car next week but its only got a sparco half cage.

i orderd the rollcage from demontweeks and was about 550 euro delivered to door,mine is an omp but some of them might need towers to be made fit
