He's ok, only doing a few this year. He's building a big garage, so that'll be taking up a lot of time. I've ofund this website www.automac.co.uk who have cages. I like the look of the safety devices bolt in E36 one, but it doesn't look like they do one for an E30. Again, I'll try Phil at PDL tomorrow to get some prices in line for suspension and cage. I would like one that goes to the top mounts, but price'll be the main factor. I want safety, but I don't want to go bankrupt at the same time. What cages are you lot running?

omp - but our plans werent that big 7 years ago, so we've ended up doing a fair bit of stiffening around the front to make sure it stays still.

Update,

Bought some new arb drop links form bmw last week and had to change the top n bottom hose as they were nerffed.

Also ordered my Safety Devices cage off Automac. Can't wait now!

the bar at the bottom and the harness bar where added to my cage... I also welded it in, its a sparco cage.

It's my understanding in relation to the certification side of FIA cages that if you add to them they are no longer certified.

Update:

Bought new top n bottom rad hoses, too much of a kink in the hose. Thought, wrong hoses?? Measured the core of the rad, and it was too small for the car. So, I bought a new rad and cap and got things squared away. Glad it went that way so its got the cooling it needs.

Ripped the head lining out (hated every minute of it) and I noticed that the cassette for the cage is bonded in. Whats the best way of getting this out without damaging the roof skin?

Cars going to have the cage fitted beginning of next month. 2 bits of small welding and skid the exhaust then save up again.

Anyone got challenge billie inserts and rear shocks?

Also looking for a Z3 rack too.

apparently the sunroof casette can be removed by carefully drilling out the spot welds that hold it in.

whatever you do, don't take the approach of this idiot

I'm going to attack it with a drill to do the spot welds and i'll get a little angle grinder to cut the tabs off.
