The E30 was a group N 325i which i built from a brand new car in 1987 and ran in the Scottish championship with backing from John Clark, the aberdeen BMW dealer, for 2 years. We won group N in 87 and finished 2nd in 88.
It was a great car, very simple, cheap to run and totally reliable.
It was sold to Nigel Mosely and turned into a race car.

obviously good taste in rally cars.
the audi didn't roll, i couldn't afford to stop at the time as the starter motor had just packed up so just kept the foot down.
