back on it again after hols , virtually finished the loom at last just a bit to finish around the clocks and stalks , tidy up mainly , need to find some sort of reostat to reduced blower voltage and slow it down otherwise the dash is going to take off , next week going to start on the brake pipes , engine or brake brackets still not back from machine shops , but still loads to do ....

its coming along slowly , call down any weekend im always there useually between 8 til 4 ish .

well after a massive meltdown last saturday trying to sort the final bits of wiring , raging toothache didnt help either , i was ready to put a lump hammer through the car so decided an early finish was best . Sunday with a clear head saw it all finished than goodness . only an engine loom to do now but ill wait till i get the dta , reasonably simple from a diagram anyway , brake brackets all back from the machine shop and bottom end back from the engine shop , so plenty to do now ..

good weekend brakes all on , all aeroquip for the brakes done , just need feed from pots to reservoirs to complete , also a fresh coat of red under the arches to cover any overspray and freshen it up



well pleased with the brackets from the machine shop considering all they had was my wooden protos and a rough drawing , spot on fair play .



was nice to deal with a company that dont suck wind through their teeth when you show them what you want done and actually do what you ask ..

plumbed in the fire extighuisher as well ..

started doing the poly carb got the rear quarters in and the navs door so far , first quarter took ages to do as i wanted it to look like the original glass with the black surround , quite pleased with the outcome 3 hrs later, second one only took 45 mins

bonded the front in and left overnight to dry

trying to to finished all the nigly bits now , working my way through the list ..

dummy fitted the rad and oil cooler , as the car was auto its also got another cooler for the front of the rad which was for the auto box so im going to use this for a power steering cooler , hoping to keep it all cool at least ....

hoping fit a dummy motor in the car this weekend as its going to have an exhaust manifold and system made first week of november , luckily the man doesnt want it running that would be fun ...

started putting the motor together bottom end at least , heads gone off last week to be ported etc so need to order cams and top end bits etc ...

Are you planning to use this as a show car?
I think if that was mine and I took it on a rally I would cry after it got the first scratch.
