fantastic, just reolised how close the event is! Car is going for mot sat morning.

really pooing my pants now, car is not far off being ok, but as i think i have not much to worry about on the car, i am worying ten times more...




car was not braking proeprly, when its really wet it was locking the fronts up too easily, so i spoke to alan at questmeed and ended up spending nearly £200 with him on pads and fluid!

I think i had the pad combination wrong, but tonight i run the pads in, and i noticed the brakes felt a LOT better.

I have to bleed the brakes tonmorrow when they are cold, but for the first time i think the rear brakes are working, braking to turn into the road for my mates garage, i put it in second early like i would do with the Lada when braking, and the rears locked, which for me is right.... so right ))


Just hope the car works well, worrying a lot about my engine as its still whining, worrying that the tyres are too hard, kuhmo R800 medium compounds, worringing about something else will go wrong, and also very much worrying that i have had hickups for well over a day now...


We shall see!

Yeah you will be fine tonight mate !!!!!!! LOL Don't know any of the route before hand though as i havent heard much, ive had to offers to Navigate tonight BUT when i told them that if it were a free run yes that would be fine but if i had to pay towards expenses i would'nt be able to do it as ive spent far to much on the Compact and the Garage thus havent got any spare cash they both said they would look else where LOL !!!!!!!!!!!

Should be a good night for you bud weather looks promising as in dry with no rain and it will be cool so i reckon you will be all right all night on mediums mate, where you starting tonight then ???

go to the bottom of the engine issues you've been having yet?

well yes and no.

Ont he last rally it would not start after plotting and i was so anoyed! But after leaving it for 10 secs or so it started, and the temp guage was reading low.

So, i think one of the motor sensors isnt reading right. THe gague is reading ok now btw!

Anyway, the rattle i think is the baffel in the rocker cover, i only thought the other day of that could be it!


The other problem is idling, it seems to be all over the place, i think there is an air leek or something on the ICV or maybe something to do with that baffel i dont know!


Any idfeas?

unplugged the icv and it idles fine, sones like it has a well cammy motor when its cold though!
