poor design and manufacturing tolerances, usual cheap chinese tat purely focussing on profit margins.

just have to look at the design of the big end caps, dont need to be an engineer to see the glaribg stress riser, as for the pistons, I think "design" is stretching it rather, ive heard of several engines with VERY wrong compression ratios, nearly enough to run a diesel engine!!

another example is valve cutouts not centred with the valves! mountains for crowns.

Rae who built my engine also build my mates m52b25, he is looking for 300bhp out of it this time, and all steal. He told ste to buy chineese rods as thematerial they use is all the same type of quality and the chineese has some of the best milling machines about.
