more body prep the weekend , did about 2/3rds the inside but had to work on sunday so nothing done then , no pics of the car but i was well exited ( not that it takes much ) to get this in the post friday , the cage paperwork and cage tag from hockleys , so the sample weld was ok then , well chuffed onwards we go ......

good productive weekend all panels and the car in primer ,

will have to devise a plan to paint the inside of the shell , first coat should be ok but the second will be a bitch with not being able to touch or grab anything to lean in ,.....

almost everything has had 3 coats of etch so plenty to block back .

probably get on with the shell next weekend provided i can get colour on , ill do the panels the week after . cant wait

Rawl bolt an anchor to the floor and borrow my harness, problem solved you can lean in with both hands free! simples

very productive day today , got more done than i thought i would , little bit of overspray got under the masking paper on the satin black but came off easy ..

all being ok will finish off the rest of the panels tomorrow , then try and remember where ive put all the bits and bobs for it

pleased with the colour , suzuki bright red , give it a week to harden off properly then a good polish hopfully this time next week all the panels will be back on

double instalment this weekend , all panels done as i hoped , having not painted a car for a few years now im pleased with how its come out no major dramas , even remembered to do the fuel flap , boot handle , switch box , only useually remember these when the guns been cleaned , may need to re=do the front bumper as theres some dust in it and could have done with a bit more prep , the joys of painting al-fresco ....

had a quick go at the overspray on the satin black with a damp cloth this morning and as i suspected 99% of it was just dust so this all cleaned off nicely , start gathering all my bits through the week ready for another busy weekend , be nice to start putting bits back on rather than taking them off .....

good weekend all panels back on except the front bumper , all rubbers , handles , latches , badges , dash in , screen in , heater box , hyd handbrake , but forgot the camera so took a few of the motor ive started on in the evenings , i know the original plan was for a 6 pot but thought id give a 4 banger a try , m3 bodies moded and mounted , tried m47 crank in , so its off to the machine shop for some work , get it bored and balanced, thinking of putting it on dta stand alone , so should be interesting to say the least .
