Way Way South Compact

Been lurking around for a while, looking through build threads etc, thought it was time to put my hand up. I'm Adam from New Zealand, down in Invercargill, as South as it gets here.
I was in the process of building an E30 rally car, was going down the lines of the M3 panels, but started to run into issues with sourcing panels, NZ doesn't have a big market for second hand m3 panels, finding rust and front geometry, again NZ is useless for getting your hands on the parts needed.
So I decided that I needed to get the car going sooner as skids were calling.
After reading up a few build threads, Rich's compact is pretty much what I'm aiming for, I decided that a compact is the best choice for me. So a M52b28 with ZF box, the group 4 escort suspension, I'm going for Nissan R33 GTST brakes, 4 pot fronts & 2 pot rears. Will end up with a multi point cage sets etc etc. The goal is to get it running for an autocross in Feb.
I sourced a non sunroof rolling shell for a measly $200, they are really cheap here another reason for choosing the compact. I set about stripping it down on Sunday, got a trailer of rubbish to get rid of now.
The engine & gearbox came out of a 328i with 52,000kms.
