What Camcorder do you use inside your rally car

Hi guys, looking to buy a camcorder and want one suitable for fitting in the car for stage rallying as well as other uses. Been looking and there are good and bad reviews about them all so just wondered if any of you would care to share with me what you use and any comments you have from your experience

I use a GO PRO 2 seems ok...
I used to use a digi HDD camcorder but it kept cutting out on bumps etc

We used a bog standard mini tape camcorder and no problems other than forgetting to use it !

Go-Pro HD hero 2 in mine, works very well.
I have a remote switch for instant record on power up, saves lots of disc space and battery life.
I just need to make a better mounting bracket to get it further forward since its on the roll cage main hoop cross diagonal and its too far back.
Also I need to hook up the mic input to the intercom output for audio.

If you have a gopro 2 you need one of these for a remote.
http://gopro.com/hd-hero-accessories/wi-fi-bacpac-remote-comboOr you can use a smart phone with the gopro app as a remote. Its even better as you can see what your recording on screen
I have the same set up above but ive wired the camera into the cars 12 volt supply so dont have to worry about battries etc

Are you using the wifi back or a wired remote switch ?. I would prefer the wired, but the only one for sale is about the same price as the wifi. Also, do you use the std battery and if so how long does it last ?

Got my wired remote from Steve Moore in Whiston Liverpool, contact him through British rally forum or PM me.

Just bought a go pro hero 3+ silver edition. Can't wait to test it out. The black edition came with a wifi remote, but I just use the go pro app on my phone.
